The first thing to keep in mind when choosing a bed and breakfast vacation spot is, what type of country side do you and your spouse enjoy? A bed and breakfast vacation is relaxed and informal and gives the happy vacationer a chance to really see another part of the country, or even another country. Some of the best B and B’s are located in the old country for instance, in England, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland. If you are able to travel to the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland then you are in for a treat. The people tend to be very friendly, and there are no language barriers other than a few little quirks in the spelling of some words. If you do decide to make the UK or the Irish Republic your bed and breakfast destination, make sure that you are close enough to sites you want to see to make day trips. Also, pick up a guidebook. Years ago the guidebooks told you how to see Europe on five dollars a day. These days it costs a bit more, but a B and B still will offer an inexpensive way to see a new country. Whether your ancestors came from England, Wales, Scotland, or Ireland or from somewhere else, the people of these countries offer hospitality that is unmatched and a wonderful visit that you won’t soon forget.

The northeast United States is full of lovely bed and breakfast inns that are quaint and charming, and offer New England hospitality that is second to none. Vermont in the autumn is a popular destination. Well, the beautiful scenery you saw in the background of that show is waiting for you, as is a very nice little B and B.
